Beemster cheese wins top awards again. Recently Beemster Oud (aged 10 months) won the title of Best Dutch Cheese of the Year by Q&A Onderzoek BV. Now four Beemster cheeses were crowned with 3-star Superior Taste Awards, the highest award from the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi). With a great taste, good texture and subtle aroma, the Beemster cheeses scored in the Exceptional category with marks above 90% on average. Considered the “Michelin Guide of food” the iTQi Superior Taste Awards are a blind tasting evaluation by leading chefs and sommeliers. This is a unique honor and recognition by international taste experts and opinion leaders.
